Meet CAT&Lou

The idea behind CAT&Lou started years ago.  Thanks to a mutual friend, what began as a local contact in the beauty industry, gradually evolved into coworkers, business friends, and has since become a close friendship and partnership.  Over the years Lindsey and Allie discovered a shared goal to one day own a salon, they just had to be patient for the right time and perfect location.  Part of what makes CAT&Lou so special is the combination of two very different people coming together to create an experience that embodies their personalities and ideals.

Our Vision

With the establishment of CAT&Lou Salon we wanted to create a unique space, a sanctuary, that is not only comfortable but also inviting.  Our overall vision was to develop a salon that was spacious, beautiful, and full of talented stylists.  We embody a culture that is nothing but positive, and an atmosphere that inspires our stylists as well as our clients.  We want to create a peaceful, relaxing escape for our guests, leaving them feeling recharged and beautiful!

Our Mission

We feel education is of the utmost importance in order to stay inspired.  At CAT&Lou we offer frequent opportunities for our team to continue to grow, and then in return, share that knowledge and creativity with our guests.  Through product knowledge and direction, our goal is to pass on the importance of home haircare in addition to salon appointments, so that our clients will feel confident with their hair aspirations and results.  We strive for each of our guests to have the very best experience at CAT&Lou.

Our Salon

CAT&Lou is located in the heart of the Clifton neighborhood. This local, lively area adds so much to the character and energy of the salon. Our building was previously the home to a rectory of the neighboring church. When designing CAT&Lou, we felt it was important to maintain the character of the building and incorporate the feel of the area, while also adding a modern touch. This building is our happy place, a home away from home. We can only hope our guests feel that same energy and love it as much as we do!

Allie Wood – Owner / Stylist

Allie’s path into the hair industry began over 20 years ago in Scottsdale, where she completed her education and gained experience behind the chair before returning to Louisville. Early in her career, she realized that creating a salon was an essential part of her vision and something she would one day pursue. She has a genuine love for art and design, and appreciates the creative, but also technical approach to doing hair. She thrives when projects are in motion and is happiest when art, whatever form that may be, is part of her everyday life.

Lindsey Pincus – Owner / Stylist

Lindsey started her career in Indianapolis and has been a stylist for over 22 years. Since 2020, she has embraced the role of a salon owner as well. She has continued her education in New York, Chicago and Nashville, attending numerous classes at the Redken Exchange, L’Oréal, Sassoon Academy, etc. She loves creating hair that makes each client feel confident and amazing. For Lindsey, beautiful hair, meaningful relationships, and happy guests are what make her career just as exciting today as when she first started.

Cher Fillmore – Stylist

Cher studied at Idaho State University for Cosmetology and has been in the industry for 25 years. She has extensive training in coloring and cutting techniques and is a certified stylist for Hot Heads Extensions. The relationships she continues to build with her clients and friends is what makes this career absolutely perfect for her. When she’s not behind the chair, you can find her going on adventures with her daughter Jilly.

Callie Timmons – Stylist

Callie is a seasoned stylist with nearly two decades of experience in the beauty industry. A former educator for GHD, she brings an elevated level of technical expertise and a strong foundation in advanced styling. She is certified in the Habit Hand-Tied Extension Method and is an advanced colorist who creates personalized looks for each of her clients.

Becca Caveda – Stylist/Extension Specialist

Becca has been a part of the hair industry for over 8 years and is deeply passionate about helping people feel confident and beautiful. For her, being a stylist is about so much more than creating beautiful color or installing the newest extensions. It’s about connection, laughter and building genuine, lasting relationships with everyone who sits in her chair. She specializes in lived-in, seamless color and is certified in multiple extension methods, with hand-tied being her absolute favorite. Becca believes that growth is essential and is committed to continued education, always staying inspired so she can provide her clients with the best possible experience. When she’s not in her salon home, she’s spending time with friends, exploring new hobbies and appreciating the small, everyday moments that make life so special. Her approach to beauty is grounded, heartfelt and intentional. She loves helping each client leave feeling confident, cared for, and completely themselves.

Bri Gordon – Stylist

Bri brings 12+ years of experience and a love for genuine connection to every appointment. By really getting to know her clients and their stories, she creates personalized styles that feel effortless and true to them.

Amber Gahm – Stylist/Extension Specialist/KM Educator

Amber is a locally based hairstylist with 11 years of experience in the industry. She is an educator for KEVIN MURPHY and has spent the past four years working fashion shows through KM as well as Fashion for Futures. Her portfolio includes Miami Fashion Week, Men’s Fashion Week, and Paris Fashion Week. She is certified in Invisible Beaded Extensions and offers a wide range of services in the salon. Amber is known for her versatility, attention to detail and her ability to tailor each service to her client’s individual needs. She values building trusting, long-term relationships with her guests and is passionate about helping them achieve their hair goals. When she’s not in the salon, she’s spending time with her pets and staying active outdoors.

Elise Sheldon – Stylist

Elise has been in the hair industry for 8 years and began her journey at CAT&Lou greeting each client with a friendly face as our desk coordinator. She is a detailed oriented stylist who enjoys custom haircuts, event styling, as well as all color services. Elise has a passion for education and continued growth within her career, and most recently studied at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in NYC. Born and raised in the Highlands of Louisville, she’s also a dog mom to a Biewer Yorkie, Marshall Lee. When she steps away from the salon, you can find her in the dance studio jamming to K-pop!

Haley Tuscany – Stylist

Meet Haley! A stylist with over two years behind the chair, she recently had the incredible opportunity to train at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in NYC, where she refined her craft and built a strong foundation in precision cutting and technical skills. Haley’s favorite part of her work is the connection she builds with each guest. She’s passionate about creating a welcoming, comfortable experience where every client feels truly heard. Her goal is simple….for you to leave her chair feeling confident, refreshed, and completely in love with your hair. When she’s not in the salon, you’ll likely find her browsing a local record store, attending a music festival, or exploring a new restaurant with her husband and their dog, Laika.

Darryl Roland – Stylist

As a master stylist for over 30 years in the hair industry, Darryl brings a wealth of experience, especially from the 8 years spent as a Keratin Complex educator. He’s learned from talented professionals around the world, honing skills across all hair types with a special passion for haircutting. He views hair as an extension of the body, emphasizing fitness and nutrition as key to maintaining beautiful, healthy locks. Education has always been a vital pillar of his success, and when he’s away from the chair, you’ll find him in the gym or on the pickleball court.
